If I'm proven wrong, then fine, I'm wrong. It's Kevin's call, man, he could cast Moms Mobely as God. But I can't beleive that after names like Julie Andrews, Emma Thompson, and Carrie Fisher are bandied around as the frontrunners, that he'd go with Alanis Morrisette (even if they are buddies.) The previous casting concepts are all older women, experienced actresses with broad-base recognition, whose mere presence bring a sort-of dignity to the role. Alannis is a twenty-year old pop singer who brings---what? Her harmonica? Look, what I'm trying to say is, if Emma or a similiar actress appeared as God, then the audience would have laughed and responded in a good way. If God is revealed to be Alannis Morrisette, they're gonna laugh. But in a bad way.
