Some years it's a popularity contest, some years it's really about the quality of the movies. Sometimes it's a little of both. These types of award shows are geared towards popular culture, and rarely give credit to the truly exceptional pieces of work. (Note I said rarely) Same goes for music award shows. Eh, what ya gonna do? Not worry about it . . . that's what I do.
