I know that you can get video to look like film. It's not even so much how it looks, I just prefer to work with film. It's the grainy quality of a developed print that I like, and no matter how much you change the lighting and stuph on video, you just can't get that look. It's fine when you watch it on a small projector, but when you watch video on the big screen, as I've had to do in many classes, you can see all the dots of color, and it's really dark, no matter what. Like I said, it's my own personal opinion, I haven't even worked with video all that much, except for some editing I did on an internship, and the camera work wasn't all that good. I may come to like it once I work with it more, but I've worked with every format, and I still prefer film.
