I hardly think that their professional reputations were on the line. Also, from what i've read, there were a whole bunch of people who helped them write the finished script that Kevin & Scott took to Miramax. Everyone from Rob Reiner to Terrance Malick...how come nobody's protesting about them not getting thanked?
