: : Ok so Titanic has surpassed star wars...blah blah

: : But what about inflation

: *Sure inflation always makes a difference. But Titanic has surpassed it's total after a few months. That beats the Star Wars "lifetime" total. Think of how much money Titanic will drag in when the second CD comes out and it hits Video. Plus, it is still making lots in the theaters.

Yeah, but think about all the people who have gone and seen Titanic over and over again, most just b/c of Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm not bashing Titanic, cause I've never seen it, but that's just my point, despite popular belief, there still are a lot of people who haven't seen it, and there are more people who have gone to see Star Wars. So even though Titanic has outgrossed Star Wars in a couple of months, that's due primarily to those who decided to see it 10 times. I'm not saying it wouldn't have happened eventually, but that's why it happened so soon.
