": As you reply, but Alyssa knew that the relationship wouldn't last another day after telling him she had been with guys, so she put it off. Telling him a lie about her past sex life doesn't nessesarily constitute that there is lack of trust in the relationship."
Really? I think she had a lack of faith in Holden, I mean she seemed genuinely surprised when he freaked out about "fingercuffs" so what do you base the assertion that she "knew that the relationship wouldn't last another day"???
" She lied about BULLSHIT issues that would never have had any importance in her relationship with Holden."
I'd love to live in a world where your partner's past doesn't matter but of course it does. Our past is what defines us as entities. If Holden couldn't deal with Alyssa's past then that's his problem, but there are no "BULLSHIT issues"... well maybe the toilet seat issue but apart from that one.
" Alyssa wasn't lying to Holden, she was protecting their relationship, because doesn't know that Alyssa's past doesn't matter "
Lying as protection? I don't think so... sounds a little like justification to me.
