As you reply, but Alyssa knew that the relationship wouldn't last another day after telling him she had been with guys, so she put it off. Telling him a lie about her past sex life doesn't nessesarily constitute that there is lack of trust in the relationship. She lied about BULLSHIT issues that would never have had any importance in her relationship with Holden. Alyssa wasn't lying to Holden, she was protecting their relationship, because doesn't know that Alyssa's past doesn't matter
