: What's up people? Hey, I've been thinking of making a movie. But I have no idea of how to go about it. People tell me I have the funniest sense of humor they have ever seen, and I would like to take advantage of this, to give people a few good belly laughs. And I would like to know about how much it may cost, where to rent the equipment, and how to get publicity. I'd apppreciate any direction you could give me, for you are geniouses and I would respect your opinion greatly.
Before you worry about renting equipment, hiring a crew and getting the word out on your film, you should first write a killer screenplay. Once you have that set in place, then worry about everything else.
One word of advice... you should keep in mind that you will probably have a minimal budget if you do get to the filming stage, so keep that in mind when you are writing. Wacky-ass special effects might not work if you don't got the dough to spend.
This coming from a guy who has been stuck in the screenplay stage for about a year, and only has 65 pages to show for it! (and many other pages if you want to start going through the trash!)
