I just read an article about independent filmmakers who say that you should try to find as much free stuff (locations, props, etc) as you can before shooting. I was wondering if you had to pay for a lot of the locations you shot at, especially in Chasing Amy, or were there a lot of good-hearted folks out there cutting you some breaks?
