Because kids think it's cool.
And kids don't like baseball like they used to, because it's full of money-grubbing crybabies who have brought about the demise of the spirit of the sport in Don-King-esque fashion.
The MLB has finally realized that fact, and are desperately trying to infuse some life into a proud tradition that has been horribly scarred in the modern era.
