I have now been through the hiring/interview process... but from the hiring side. Okay, so it was just for a babysitter for the summer (and maybe all year long), but still.
But wow, was it ever strange. I guess it's a buyer's market out there because we had a whole lot of people apply, we interviewed two. Did it ever suck to have to call the person we interviewed to tell her that we had decided on the other candidate. We're really happy with the person we've hired, but I really did not enjoy this process.
