You took a risk and you succeeded in making the kinda film you wanted to make...and trust me, I think you connected with a new audience segement because of it. At 3 of the screenings I was at, the 'older crowd' definitely outnumbered the young'uns....
Is it your fault that THE OVERLORDS mis-scheduled the opening of the film? Is it your fault that GIGLI was a bomb of Oppenheimer type proportions? Is it your fault that the general ticket buying public are...wait, I'll stop here. Is any of this your fault...? I don't think so!
I'm sure that through Foreign, Cable and Video, Central Command has already recouped plenty of their beloved ducats!
