Jersey Girl was great!! I took 3 of my friends out to see it last night, and we all loved it. Two of us are big fans of yours, and the other two were expecting to not like it (I'll never undersatnd how people can make a judgement about a movie BEFORE they actually see it...) The theater was pretty empty, but you could tell that everone there really enjoyed it.
I can't believe some of the crap I've been reading from the critics and some of the idiots on this board. Anyone who didn't like this movie has no heart, and they may as well do the rest of us a favor and just kill themselves now - because they will never have anything meaningful to contribute to society.
The only complaint I have about the movie, was that I didn't want it to end! I thouroughly enjoyed the characters, the story, and the humor. Carlin was amazing!! So was everyone else - Ben, Jen, Raquel, Liv, and even your Jen. I was impressed with everyone's performance and, of course, your writing.
I wanted to ask - what's Stephen Root like? I have found him extremely funny ever since I got hooked on Newsradio a few years ago, and was just wondering what he's like in real life. (who else could I ask besides you, that I would actually ever stand a chance to get an answer from??)
...and another question -
This is the second time you've used a female character who is doing sex research - don't get me wrong, I think the idea is incredibly arousing - I was just wondering where that idea comes from?
