kevin vs paul thomas anderson = ollie vs....?

i was re-watching "an evening with kevin smith" last night (gotta love that DVD!) and he told the story about seeing paul thomas anderson at the doctor's office after kev dissed PTA.

i was just curious if that whole incident inspired the meeting between ollie and will smith in jersey girl.

as soon as he told the story on the dvd my boyfriend and i looked at each other and both said "i wonder if..."

any ideas?
