From Redmond, WA. I was at the noon-thirty showing of Jersey girl on Sunday, probably around 75 (about a third full) people in the audience which was way more than I expected. The audience reaction was very very positive, laughter and even applause in all ther right places. They really dug it. Crowd was mostly parents as well, which I thought boded well for the logevity of the movie. Very good movie.
I think word of mouth will help a lot since even my mom is going to see it based on what she has heard and she's almost as clueless as the New York Times.
