Kevin, I hope you're still reading this thread.
Here on Long Island, I checked out Jersey Girl with my girlfriend at Lowe's multiplex for a 5:40pm showing. I'd say the theater was about 75% full...ages going everywhere from children under 13 to folks over 70.
Kev...after the scene with the play, half the place applauded. After the end credits started rolling, the whole place applauded. I haven't seen a theater applaud at a movie since the Star Wars Speciel Editions.
