What will come of this post
1) Roeper will write a column in his paper responding to this.
2) A Kevin Smith Film (sorry, "A comedy by Kevin Smith") will never get 2 thumbs up as long as Roeper is on that show,
3) the exception to rule number 2 is if there are plenty of nude scenes by famous actresses. Roeper has written books (He rents, She rents) outlining the best movies to rent to see boobs.
Yes, Roeper is a moron, I can't stand the guy, and see films based on what he DOESN'T like.
Ebert always gives fair reviews, and often talks about a bad films good points, and often recommends a movie for a particular group of people.
However, for a Director, (or a writer who directs) to publicly call a nationally recognised critic an "Ass-face", and to ask the Creator to smite him, well, that's just asking for trouble.
