whose plots have been rehashed innumerable times by countless religions, no, you shouldn't feel blasphemous. Unlike Good Friday the 13th, ET's plot is not centered on making the audience feel guilty about living. The lack of guilt incitement is probably a significant reason why you feel a stronger reaction to ET--the cruel subtleties in Mel's snuff film are real downers.

At any rate, I cannot take seriously Mel's claim of historicity of Jesus Chainsaw Massacre because (Survey says!) . . . it's based on a meager one *unsubstantiated* source. Oh, and nails are driven into the WRISTS, not the palms during crucifixion.
