I think after the third or fourth season (but I'm not really sure) the show sorta changed its direction from a typical sitcom about some wacky Clevelanders and their daily routines (a good concept if you know anyone from Ohio), into a very oddball show putting its characters through continuously bizarre situations. I turned off for a while, but am regretting my choice since I've picked it up in reruns. When the original concept started getting stale, he and the writers just took a no-holds-barred approach to the later seasons. Very daring, I'd call it experimental at times, and always cool in a very uncool sort of way.
