I'll never forget seeing only one scene when it was first broadcast on television. It was on
CBS in 1982 or so and so there was this religious furor over it being shown, even though it
was edited. I remember walking into the room where my Dad and brother were watching it.
All I saw was the moment when all the records were flying around the room and she turns
her head competely around and I was so freaked out, I couldn't sleep. And that was all I saw.

I was kind of disappointed at 'The version you never saw' when it came out. Some of the
additional scenes were nice, but I think Freidkin took a few too many unnecessary liberties.

: It's a little weird; I watched this flick when I was like nine and I was terrified. I had
nightmares for months covering topics such as me being posessed.. My mother being
posessed.. Being stuck in the room with Regan, etc. But now it's one of my absolute favorite
movies.. Odd how that worked out.. Same with Child's Play.. I had a "My Buddy" doll when I
was younger and it was one of the inspirations for "Good Guy".. Yeah, that creeped me out
but now Chucky is one of my favorites.

: PS:

: Useless trivia-

: Did you know that after trying several ways to get the sound of Regan's neck doing a 180
in the crucifix masturbation scene they found that taking a leather wallet and twisting it got
the sound they were looking for?

: In the same scene, where Chris is slammed on the ground and looks to be in serious pain,
she really is in pain. In fact, the fall broke her hip and they had to postpone shooting.

: (If either of those are a little off, I'm sorry.. Going by memory here)
