My sister's sister-in-law has two girls: Abigail and Olivia. Their nicknames are Abby and Livy. I love the old-time feel of them, real 20s and 30s pulp-style names.
We used to call my first daughter Trinity "Trin" until I had someone (who I really hated but liked better after he said this) tell me, "You gave her such a beautiful name, why don't you use it? She'll get nicknames later on in life from her friends and coworkers." So I'm glad you're already taking this guy's advice.
