: I hate romantic comedies.
: I hate comedies that use ethnicity or cultural differences as the basis for the hilarity. (Undercover Brother, Malibu's Most Wanted, etc.)
: I dislike parody comedies like Scary Movie or Another Teen Movie. (though Leslie Nielsen delivers a great parody performance)
: I also generally hate coming of age comedies like American Pie, or other such crap.
: Now I'm not completely knocking these flicks because they do have some merit, and often some very funny moments. But generally I won't see these unless I have nothing else to do and someone else is watching it (for example: American Wedding)
: What does that leave me with? Unfortunately there isn't much that DOESN'T fit into these categories that IS good (and not much that DOES fit into those categories that is good)

: Well as a starter it leaves me with Kevin's stuff. Doesn't really fit in with the rest of those, especially my favourite, Dogma.
: It leaves me with my other two favourites: Office Space and Drop Dead Gorgeous (you may be able to argue this as a coming of age film, but definitely not to the degree of others)
: It leaves me with some movies like the Austin Powers trilogy (which definitely had its moments for me) and other slapstick stuff like some of Chris Farley and Adam Sandler (though the former is no longer with us, and the latter has not had very good stuff lately, IMO)

: I guess that does leave more than I thought, but I still find that at least 90%
