You can get many different perspectives on the same situation here. If I ever need some different insights on a situation, I definitley post it here. Because, although we ARE all alike in that we love Kevin Smith, we are movie and internet geeks, we're also all very different. Different backgrounds, personalites, and views (Although I've realized about 75% of the people that post on the internet are cynical, its kind of an attitude everyone adapts in the written form.
And, if I had seen your post, I most definitley would have lent my sympathy, and support, because I can relate since I myself was in a horrific car accident that has messed up aspects of my life.
You can get plenty of support here if you are the right person, or you ask the right people. AshFan comes here and gets plenty of advice on how to handle his new baby, and his maternally instinct overflowing wife. Virgo comes here to get support with her Syndrome (Sorry, I've lost the words on what it is called) as well as her war in getting insurance coverage. Ralphy (I don't know hot to put the TM) gets support with his website endeavor. I've gotten support in my girlfriend situations, school problems, as well as with unemployment.
It appears there is a fine line you walk in getting support or ridicule. From some you will get nothing but support, others nothing but ridicule. You just have to find the people that aren't pieces of shit, and willing to give their perspectives. A lot of the people who responded so coldly towards Heather are usually friendly, but an internet line was crossed by Heather, and apparently there is no coming back.
: I dont disagree with you but you have to admit this is the LAST place to come for support, I mean I put up here a post about my wreck in which I almost lost my legs and got zero positive posts in response. Its sad that she is this bad off, but this is not therapy its just a web board. And if she is that bad off she needs help not us.
