: Mind you, you can go overboard on that- The Hulk's comic style frames were very distracting- Either failing to mask a lack of action or damaging the action they had (The comic book explosion was dumb in a film mixed with both the excesses of the intellectual and the idiot)
: : ... but he understands the medium and how to translate it beyond the printed page.

: : : He read through them before starting, but he wasn't really a fan as such. But he does rock.
: : : : Ah... the Sweet Release of finally learning the BIG NEWS! And to have that BIG NEWS be exactly what I hoped it was -- it's like a month of long, slow sex culminating in a headboard-projecting climax.

: : : : (Alright, I managed to take it over the top even for me. Sheesh.)

: : : : Seriously, congratulations, Kevin. This is a real testament to your growth as a director. I know you've said in the past that you aren't an "action director," but I think Green Hornet will prove otherwise. One of the things I always loved about the Now Hornet comics (and the TV and radio franchises, to different extents) was that the Hornet, a hero without super-powers and with minimal gimmicks, relied more on character-driven stories. The Kato character added the element of raw physicality.

: : : : Thank God Harvey realized that successful comic book movies need directors who really understand the medium, a la Spider-Man (Sam Raimi) and X-Men/X2 (Bryan Singer). Your career is a neon light pointing in that er... direction.

: : : : I can't wait for details to start emerging! This feels like dating a new person -- when everything is newness and discovery.

: : : : Congrats again, Kevin.
