Ocassionally they'll stop printing a disk, wait for the copies in stores to dissipate and then do a reprinting, like editions of a book. It's a way for the studio to save money. Most DVD's sell quickly when they first come out only to be forgotten about a month later. The studios deal with this by not constantly printing disks. Whever a new printing is released, the new release date is announced. I take it you got your info on Amazon? That's the one place I know of that always puts out new print dates as release dates. Hope I've been of some help. Later.
