: Smalls (yes, this board's very own Smalls) has been hired to work at View Askew.
Dammit! I already knew that!
: Alright, that's not the big news.
Oh, okay then.
: I'm at the mercy of the parent company on this one, so cut a brother some slack.
I'm content to wait; my curiosity is stronger about the nature of the announcement (ie: why is it so secret?) than the announcement itself.
: - Today I'm shooting a guest spot on the CBS sitcom "Yes, Dear", in which I play... well, me.
: Already shot a little bit on Monday (an exterior at the front gate of CBS Radford; ironically,
: the same gate Jay and I snuck past in "Strike Back") and had a good time. Not sure when it's
: gonna air yet.
I, for one, dig Anthony Clark quite a bit.
: - The "Jersey Girl" screening to benefit the Kenny Gordon Foundation will be held March 4th
: in NYC, five days before the premiere. Ben, Liv, and I will be at the benefit, and tickets are
: gonna be open to the public (heads-up: the prices will be a little steep, as it's a benefit). I'll
: let you know where you can buy tix next week.
If I'm gonna be there, I'll let you know, but I may skip it if the price is too pricey.
: - There's also gonna be a screening up at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY,
: on March 10th or 11th, I think. The beloved Janet Maslin will do some Q&A with me
: following the show. Tix will be open to the public.
That one actually sounds awesome, but the NYC is one I might be able to make; Pleasantville, I doubts it.
: - The L.A. Secret Stash's opening has been pushed back to June 1st now. There will be a
: Bash for that Stash, rest assured.
Sweet. I have a birthday right around then anyway. I've been trying to work it so I can go out to LA for about a week in May or June anyway, and then I heard there'd be a Bash around then, so I figured "Kill two birds", etc.
: - I am finally... FINALLY... finishing both "Spider-Man and the Black Cat" and "Daredevil:
: Target" for Marvel. Big apologies on the delays, but I'll try to make it worth it.
Oooooo... I may have to start buying comics again.
Nah, I'll just keep on focusing on Ennis & Moore, with a few non-prolific other people (you, Miller, Wagner, and Lapham).
: For the record, though - the big news has nothing to do with Tom Cruise.
I saw a stand-up show last week, with a dude Mike Birbiglia who's really, really funny ... and in his routine, he had a bit where he said, "I think I'm a little bit gay, just to the point where I'm slightly uncomfortable with it. I'm really into Tom Cruise, like *really* into him, a bit too much. I'm not saying -- I wouldn't have sex with Tom Cruise myself, no, but if my girlfriend came home and said, 'I just had sex with Tom Cruise'... I'd pull up a pillow and say, 'Oooooo, details?!'"
I thought it was funny, and it made me think about ... well, a lot of parts of your interview, actually. Several. Possibly a few more than there should've been.
