But, after seeing tapes with him - I just don't see "it". I guess. The way he speaks and his mannerisms just seemed crazy. Although, I know, self-esteem played a big part with his followers. So maybe they overlooked his eccentricities ( I know I didn't spell that right) because he was someone who accpeted them.
With some of the other notorious people out there, I can see how they manipulated people. Like, Ted Bundy, for instance. Decent looking guy, well read, and charming - I can see why women would trust him, to some extent - at least to let their guards down. In another case I read, this one football player had at least 13 women testifying on his behalf, even though he killed 2-3 women.
That's the stuff I find interesting, and quite creepy.
