: Still, things you should look out for in future-
: The Smell Of Reeves And Mortimer
Never heard of it, I'll look for it.

: Little Britain
Same.

: The League Of Gentleman (Series 1 and 2. Not Series 3, it's poops)
Didn't like it. Sorry, I tried, I really did. I just didn't like it.

: Blackadder (My personal favourite)
I LOVE Blackadder. My ambition is to get the entire DVD set, with all the series, plus that weird Christmas episode, and that return to Blackadder thing. It's disgustingly expensive, though. I borrowed it from a friend, so I HAVE seen the whole thing, I just don't own it.

: Fawlty Towers
Great show. Not as good as Monty Python's Flying Circus, of course - what is? - but pretty damned funny. Speaking of the Flying Circus - THAT I have the entire DVD set of.

: Black Books
Again, never heard of it. I'll look.

: Father Ted (especially the hilarious Christmas special)
Father Ted's pretty funny. More recently I've been watching My Hero, which is... well, it's fucking bizarre. And yet weirdly funny.
Another British series I've enjoyed, though it's not technically comedy, is Jonathan Creek.

: These are all my personal reccomendations. And yes, Have I Got News for you is superb. If you like surreal comedy, I also suggest trying to find some Bill Bailey stuff.

Bill Bailey? Wossat?
I've only got one episode of HIGNFY on tape, and the quality is utter crap, but I'm glad I have it. It's the one with the aforementioned Tony Slattery and... crap, I can never remember that guy's name... Ian Hislop? Is that right? Vs. Paul Merton and the Rt. Hon. Tub of Lard. Merton was fucking HILARIOUS; it kills me that in the end he actually wins, even though they seriously stacked the deck against him question-wise, and he didn't even have a partner to help him. I'm glad to hear he's doing better, these days.
