: ok this is inspired by a group of pople who REALLY pissed me off.

papal idolaters really get my goat as well...

: 1) have you ever made friends on the internet?

like in weird science? no, not really

: 2) if so how long did you stay friends?

in case you didn’t mean that in that 'tall redheaded sex toy sense'...there are people i primarily met via the net that i have remained friends with for up to 8 years now.

conversely, there are people i knew for years beforehand, with whom my relationships did not suffer the net gladly.

: 3) Have you seen them in person?

indeed, on a daily basis. i married one, hired the other...if only we had met in the opposite order, i could be violating the sanctity of the institute of marriage, as defined by our commandeer and chief.

: 4) Have you ever ben stalked somone you met on the internet?

'ben stalked'? is that a term which describes the fervor women exhibit while hunting for every scrap of information available on ben affleck?

i have stalked, and been stalked. although i consider what they did objectionable, i consider what i did to be purely in the name of masturbatory research.

: 5) Are people who hang out on the internet (excludong this place) generally fat, pale and nerdy and stuff?

if i am any example, yes. if half the pictures on the user site are to be believed, no.

: 6)Why do people make preconcptions about people they've known on the internet for a week?

because its human nature to fill in the blanks about situations and people they cannot, intellectually, fully flesh out.

although i am sure kevin and i would be bestest friends, and amy noble cannot truly be happy until she knows my love.

: 7) Ever had cyber sex? Did it do it for you?

once.
i came.
i'm a guy, what other outcome was expected?

: 8) Are people on the internet really your friends or are they words on a screen? Did you make thenm what you wanted them to be?

those are two fabulous questions.
i think internet friends have the capacity to become true friends, but it really depends on what your motivations were when you first befriended them. but i don’t believe internet friendships grow along with the individual themselves. the potential is there, but i have seen more net friendships outgrown than the number of hairs on panthermodern's back. not that they were counting, mind you.

but your second question is a bit stickier than the male outcome of a previous question. i think we have a tendency to do that in real life as well, so there's no real distinction to be made, in my opinion. the good thing about all your preconceptions about an internet friend crashing to the ground is that there is usually containable collateral damage, and a new screen name is just a mouse click away.

: 9) Did you miss me?

yes, but it was only a warning shot...fired across the bow you have yourself wrapped in.

: Sorry i am bitter and curious

which only makes you a normal person, but a fabulous aperitif.
