Both me and my sister live in California. She's a pretty hardcore Democrat; I used to be but have drifted right over the years.
We were talking about the gubernatorial recall a while back and I commented that Limgaugh was a windbag. Then a few minutes later the subject of Gloria Allred and the anti-Arnold allegations came up; she rolled her eyes and said Allred was crazy. (She still thinks the LA Times was A-OK on the Arnold hit pieces; I cancelled my subscription over it. So we don't agree on a whole lot.)
So I think we have our outliers: Agree with either Allred (or Moore), or Limbaugh, and you're beyond any ability to be convinced. But if someone can see that those two are ideologues, it could be worth discussing politics with them.

: Mike Moore, Rush Limbaugh, same guy, but with different view points. Both men take ONE point of view, and don't bother with any of the shades of Grey... any person, or culture that allows themselves to be so SURE about something with NO interest conflicting data, is a BAD thing.
