: Never saw El Mariachi, so I can't judge completely.

: But of the other two I liked Desperado better.

: Once Upon a Time in Mexico had several flaws. To much convuluted plot, with crosses and double crosses. Just too many characters involved in to many different things. It also lost the music the first one had. Well it still had mariachi-type music, but it wasn't the Los Lobos. Which was quite disappointing. I enjoyed the movie, but I spent to much time trying to figure shit out rather than just watching the movie, which was what Desperado had.

: Desperado was just a fun action movie. Only a few points I had qualms with and its been a while so I don't really remember them, so they must not have been very important.

: And I wanted to like Once Upon a Time in Mexico so much. Depp was a highlight though. Probably the best thing. Banderas wasn't in the movie nearly enough for my tastes. He should have been a main character rather than a guy amongst a sea of supporting cast.

: But thats just my opinion.
