It's even better if you've read the 1960s Stanley and his Monster comics, or the 4-part mini-series released in '93/'94. Kevin is famous for making well-known pop culture references, but I was amazed to see him make what is possibly one of the most obscure comic book references ever. I'm not a comic book guy at all; my brother has a few, but I have almost none. Back when I was ten, I, for some unknown reason, bought four issues of a comic that, looking at it now, didn't really have anything that would catch my eye enough to get me to buy it (it was probably the first comic I'd ever purchased). Destiny perhaps?
