You would have to weigh only about 40 pounds to blow that after having the small amount of alcohol you had over a 3 hour period WITH a meal. I think you probably had a lot more to drink. The average human body rids itself of approximately 1 ounce of alcohol every hour. According to you, you only had approximately 2 1/2, 3 1/2 at the most, actual ounces of alcohol. At the most, you only had 1/2 ounce in your system when you took the test. Unless you drank it all right before you left which wouldn't be over a 3 hour period like you stated. At my university, they pay students (of age) to drink and take sobriety tests from police cadets. And we blow on the intoxilyzer throughout the session. The last time I was there, I drank 8 1/2 bud lights in 1 1/2 hours and only blew a .081.
As far as the license thing, dude, I wish I could help, but I have no clue about that. Good luck with that.
: I got funneled into a DUI checkpoint a couple nights before Christmas. I was out with my friend and had just come from Walnut Creek, CA after having a Mai Tai, 1 shot of Jeger, and half a Bud Light over approx 3 hours with dinner. I felt fine to drive, so we left the restaurant at about 1:10am. After a barrage of road-side tests, which I passed. The officer requested that I take a breath test. The machine said I blew a 1.0 which I was astonished at. CA is .08 max so they placed me under arrest and asked that I call somebody to come pick me up.
: Okay it’s been over a month now, I contested the suspension of my license through DMV by mail. A woman in Oakland with their office told me that they would be calling me in early February. This was a couple weeks ago. Today, Saturday Jan 24th, I got a new license in the mail. Not a new expiration date, just a new copy of my old license.
: I’m going to call on Monday and see what this means, but has anybody ever had a stay of suspension where they just send your license with no description or paperwork?
