I once read "Treklander"... where Duncan and Richie are... ambassadors, getting a fucking lift on Picard's Enterprise to go battle alien immortals. Ten pages were dedicated to what happened to the Quickening if you were disintegrated by a phaser on kill and half the plot was about resolving the "it's a kind of magic" explanation of immortality and the "fucking alien planet" Highlander 2 explanation.
Ranma 1/2 meets Quantum Leap was almost as desperately clueless.
Wasn't Isis talking about the Jay and Bob slash-fiction a few days back?
There's gotta be some fucko out there who's writing Holden and Banky into Farscape somehow.
