...is that the Martians just took out the antennae and they are currently joyriding on the damn thing. Oh sure, they'll have fun until the solar panels give out (90 days or so...), but that won't matter, as they have a NEW gift landing in their back yard this weekend....Rover-Opportunity.
On a serious note, wouldn't it be great if NASA were able to re-establish contact, download the stored photos from the 'blackout period' and get a whole database of close-ups of Martian Man-Junk?
I know that it's unlikely (as the Martians are far too modest for such antics), but it would be sweet!
