: That scat girl was extremely funny. We laughed so hard at that show, I wish it was a whole season of the auditions. Which ones did you guys laugh the most at?

As someone who used to have to go through that sort of audition, I feel so bad for these people. I mean, I know they chose to be there - it's their 15 (closer to 5) minutes of fame, blah blah blah. But some of them genuinely don't seem to realize that they suck. And I know how that happens - I had a friend in college who was the same way. She was bloody awful, and everyone knew it, but no one had the guts to tell her so. So you just kind of had to sing louder and hope you could drown her out.
Half the time watching the show, I had my head on the table, praying it would just end.
For the record, the people making me watch this show were the same people who wouldn't let me watch Celebrity Poker. I suppose there's no accounting for taste.
I was glad they let Scooter Girl in. I was glad that Paula Abdul at least complimented Scat Girl's outfit - I couldn't have done it, I thought it was awful. And what the hell was up with her HAIR? I mean, didn't she realize she was going to be on television?

I wish there weren't an age restriction on that show - I'd try out. I'm not saying I'd get on, but at least I wouldn't be devastated the way some of these poor kids are. If you let someone with a little more age under their belt get ripped apart like that, they wouldn't end up crying. Which I suppose would mean less ratings, and thus, age restriction.
