Which I don't believe.
I believe the only way to beat Bush is for everyone on the left to cowboy up and start saying the unvarished truth about the un-Election and the un-War loud and strong.
Granted, Clark would still be much better socially than Bush and I'd vote for him if he were The Guy... but Dean's got his shit together a lot more and owes a lot less to some shady shady sons of bitches.
We need to make the main point of the election bringing the boys back home and ending the destruction of Iraq, not... trying to prove to Middle America "hey, Democrats have guns too!"
That's playing into their hands. This shouldn't be about trying to prove how much the Left is like the Right, it needs to be about how much the Right is wrong.
There's no point in even trying to take the middle through compromise, the middle is asleep and believing every rumour thrown out of CNN and disproved the next day on the corrections page.
There's some hope, at least, in waking UP the middle to exactly what's the score.
