God doesn't "take over" someone's body - She creates a new one (which isn't that hard for Her - she did do it with Adam and Eve, after all).

And it is just a friggin' movie, but part of the point of movies like "Dogma" are to elicit discussion. If it weren't possible to wax semantic on them, they wouldn't be so controversial and interesting.
