That was the one that got me hooked as a kid - he goes after a bunch of kids in a psyche ward - they all have their own little problems. But in their dreams, they each have their own "super-power", and they end up ganging up on Freddy to beat him. It was the first one where he started making wise cracks. And it really developed the history of the story, like who his mom was and so forth. Plus, there is this really nice shot of a topless nurse who turns into Freddy!
