I believe my fondest Pitbull memory was my first encounter with one. I was 5, and visiting a friend down the block. Some distant relatives got them to take care of their dog while they went on vacation. My other friend's dog JJ was following behind us, and when we opened the door to our friend's house, JJ scampered in. JJ was a cute little mutt, about 2 years old. I say was, because as soon as the Pitbull saw JJ, his jaws locked down around JJs neck and he started swinging the little pup around like a ragdoll. When he finally let go, JJ was nearly decapitated, with only a small thread of flesh keeping his head attached to his neck, and there was blood everywhere.

Pitbulls are so nice and playful...
