I am curious as to why nothing has happened to him either. I mean, look how quickly it took for Dahmer to get killed in jail, you know? I think he is isolated, actually--I don't think they could keep him with other prisoners considering the reaction to the case.

I feel like someone once said they saw Robert Chambers and Joel Steinberg playing chess together in prison, but I googled it and couldn't find anything say as much. I think they might have been in the same prison, though.
