Yes, the "Jersey" stigma, as you call it, is part of it. But mostly, it's that I just don't like his music. He does nothing for me. Never has.

For the record, I LIKE Purple Rain, and still have the tape, which I stole from my brother in the mid- to late 80's. But other than that, and the 1999 45 I've got, I own no other Prince.
Crap - that's a lie. A friend just cleaned out her CD collection, and I inherited the Batman soundtrack. But THAT's the only other Prince I have.
