Even Elvis hates that album.

: Im starting to buy all of Costello's stuff. So far I have My Aim is true, Brutal Youth, Mighty like a Rose and When I was cruel.

I've done the same thing, over the course of the last 2 years. I recommend getting your hands on Armed Forces next. After that... well, shit - they're almost all good. It's a question of mood, really.

: I just listened to the first 5 songs of GOodbye Cruel world on cdnow.coma nd I really liked em! does the rest of the album trail off after that or something? I know everyone seems to hate that album.

I can't find the album right now, so I can't post the quote Elvis put on it about not being particularly fond of it. The problem with it, IMHO, is that he was really TRYING to be 80's, and commercial. The record suffers for it. I'm not saying it's utter crap; there are a few decent songs on it, and nothing that's terrible. It's just his most forgettable album, in most people's opinion.
