Does the CD ROM show up at POST? When the computer first boots & shows the ammount of memory, hard drives, etc etc it should say if it sees a CD drive. Make a boot floppy in WIndows & boot from it & load the CD driver & see if it will read a CD then. You need to determine if it's a hardware or Windows problem.
