I think the Saga has already been killed by the prequels, and though I dug what they were able to do at the time, even as far back as the special editions. I'd heard that Lucas was no longer interested in doing a third trilogy (read: he didn't think fan support could hold out that long), but I think they'd have to be better than the prequels. So why not?
