Can't say for sure. I guess whatever the other person truly likes/needs. I remember one year I bought my parents some household items (i.e. new toilet roll holder for the bathroom) because they were fixing up the house. They liked & kept everything. I was told I did good that year.

Just regular stuff. Last Xmas Eve we ordered pizza & on Xmas day we have the traditional stuff (ham, etc.).

I believe it was when my aunt (senior citizen age) fell down a flight of stairs while carrying a glass bowl of food. A shard of glass went through her hand.
