Greetings and benedictions all! After more than 7 years on the internet I have finally found a message board worth reading, and posting! I can hardly believe it. Anyway, I'm dropping a line and so not to waste anyone's time here it goes:
I just moved into my new Apartment in a dull town somewhere in Indiana. I lived here for 4 days without cable, and re-watched Clerks, Dogma and J&SB Strike back about 15 times each. My love for Kevin Smith and his work has been renewed! A reborn fan girl smitten by his creative ideas and perspective on life.
When my hunger for the three movies I own of Kevin's was purged, I was left wanting more. Unfortunately I am lacking the remaining 2 films (not to mention all the other projects available), so instead I hopped online and did some reading.
I found the number for View Askew (after getting what is now a disconnected number, then calling 411), took a chance and called thinking that maybe, somewhere within the realm of possibility (and a lot of luck) I might have the opportunity to personally express my thanks to Kevin for bringing *good* movies into this oh so simple world.
As I’m sure you guessed; I was unable to speak with him personally, hence the message you're reading now.
So Kevin, wherever you are ...
I am looking forward to all that you have left to give to the world, and hope that it's in plenty!
