So, today, I'm stuck inside, because of the stupid fucking snow. Thinking of different inventions to keep my driveway snow-free so that I wouldnt' have to shovel shit. Instead of taking action, I just decided to sit back with some movies. I watched Chasing Amy for the millionth time, and i still marvel at its brilliance...except for one thing...Banky's sexuality. I checked out the summaries on viewaskew.com, and read Kevin's response to questions about Banky. He talks about how life comes down into moments where you have to make a decision, and how in that moment, Banky agreed to a same sex encounter, that he loved his friend and was willing to go through anything for him. That whole explanation was incredible...I loved it, its so fucking genious. And then in the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, boom, concrete fact, Banky is gay. I'm not at all homophobic, but (in the movies) no viewers got the explanation I read. So, therefore, if you haven't read The Summaries, you don't know the explanation that is so clearly brilliant. Not that I entirely mind, I jsut would've liked that idea to have been better communicated to the viewers. I practically had a Vulgarthon at my house today...and I listened to the commentaries again, the ones for Mallrats and Chasing Amy, are the best.
