I was overall a little disappointed. Had it not been for meeting some other Board (bored?) folks (Cokechic, JoeDirt and Nadine) It would've been a total waste of $40 that could've been better spent at the Stash.
Following is my list of peeves, but let me preface it with the fact taht I understand it was the first time in Texas, and that I'll bet another $40 that next year will be better.
1. Disappointed to not be able to meet Ming! (Missed ya dude!)
2. Disappointed that the VA booth didn't have the Dogma figs to preview as they did at San Diego.
3. Disappointed that the schedule for Kevin and Jay was not well publicized, would've liked to have it prior to the con, but I undestand they're busy folks.
4. Disappointed that the Con was mostly comics and bad ones at that. Would've liked to see more booths like the Punisher Booth.
That's it. Now on to the stuff that made the weekend:
1. Bryan Johnson in the booth. Great meeting you and folks, what a cool guy. 'nuff said.
2. Meeting the Board members. Thanks Guys you made my day!
3. Meeting Malcolm. Nice meeting you dude. Another great guy.
4. Getting some Swag at the Wizard booth.
5. Finally, and mostly, Kevin's Q&A. Thanks man - it was great. And thanks for letting me get up and ask a question, hawever lame it might have been. And on top of it all the guy went an hour over! 5:30 came and went , but Kevin kept going, and going, and going...
I was also surprised that the Con crowd was very well behaved, no lline cutting, no pushing or shoving, very relaxed atmosphere.
Looking forward to next year. But dammit I'm getting up earlier to stand in line for tix to meet Kev (assuming he comes back)
