I went and saw this horrible movie, CAT IN THE HAT, with some of my little nieces and nephews today. And I noticed that David Mandel, writer/producer/director of Clerks TAS was one of the writers. When I saw that credit - I thought maybe that this movie would not be all that bad. But it was. Oh, was it ever. It may be the worst kid's movie I have seen. What happened to this guy Mandel? Those Clerks Cartoons were really funny. He seemed really sharp, cool, and funny on the commentaries for the Clerks DVD too. And the guys he wrote it with are old Seinfeld friends of his, so it is not like he wrote a first draft that was later changed and made unfunny - this guy wrote a horribly unfunny movie with his friends. Maybe he shouldn't be allowed to help write the Clerks Cartoon movie. I mean this CAT IN THE HAT was just sooooooo damn bad. Even my nieces and nephews who range from 5 to 9 hated this piece of shit.
